D. Avraham is the pen name of a rabbi living with his family in the Hebron Hills of Israel, the stomping ground of the novel’s hero, Dawid. Before immigrating to Israel from Cleveland, Ohio, he was a freelance writer for the Daily News Herald, The Cleveland Jewish News, and other publications. He was also a weekly columnist for New York’s Jewish Press.
