Revenge is a strange thing. Strange in that it can lead us to do odd things that we would never do in our right mind and sometimes it becomes the center of our existence. That is where we start off in Deadly Enchantment. We start out with two characters that have experienced the same tragedy through different eyes who both want the same thing: revenge on the perpetrator. The problem is that no one is really sure of who the perpetrator is.
At first glance it would be “easy” for me to say that this book is just another Jane Austin “wannabe” where a stubborn, bitter lonely man meets equally stubborn, powerful, independent woman and don’t really like each other end up falling in love. The story is much more. Its not another dry love story but an interesting take on what can happen when two people connect on a plain that most people cannot take on powers that are seemingly impossible to surpass.
I would have to say, thought, that I wished the author had developed more of the story line - more magic, more intrigue, etc. At one point it seemed that it hopped from sex scene to scene with not much in between. Over all, I think that this would be a great read for an adult woman on a short trip on a plane.
